From the director: If We Were Birds gives voice to the many women who have been silenced through violence and who have been shunned, vilified, or persecuted simply for having survived these atrocities. As a director I am interested in exploring the resilience of the human spirit. What is it that allows us to carry on when we have lost everything including our ability to speak the truth? How does grief get swallowed and transformed into revenge? And finally, what can we do to empower those who have been scarred both physically and emotionally by these acts of war?

In order to make our online performances accessible, we are using a Tiered Ticketing model for ticket sales. Tickets will be available between $5-$35 and you may choose whichever amount you wish to put towards Theatre Erindale. Thank you for your support and for joining us this year!
